Volunteer Treasurer Needed for SARSAV

POSITION DESCRIPTION

SARSAV is in need of a treasurer.

Starting August 2018, until end of Fiscal year and then a one year Term from March 2019 to March 2020.

We are looking for someone committed until March 2020, who would consider serving in this role for 2 to 3 years – if they wish. Not a firm requirement.

You will hold a executive position of Treasurer with SARSAV a CRA registered Charitable organization.

Responsible for the day to day
book keeping, written reporting quarterly to the board and executive of SARSAV. Preparing financial reports and
statements, cash flows, project spending reports, and assist in planning budgets. Deposits monies received by SARSAV, pays accounts due – day to day banking.

Take direction from SARSAV executive and abides by SARSAV bylaws and Constitution.

Corresponds with SARSAV chapters and partner agencies regarding Invoices, project expenses ect…, provides reports
and records in a timely manner yearly for Audit to the Accounting firm.

Manages receipting for charitable donations.

Keeps SARSAV executive informed and part of all communications.

Various other duties related to the role of treasurer as the need arises.
